Relevant Domains Boost Search Relevance
MY DOMAIN STORE AND HOW IT HAPPENED!

Finding just the right domain name for a Biz can be the KEY to opening more searches. Often in my biz when a new client signs on, one thing I do is search for a domain name that works for their business but also has keywords for their business right in the domain name. This has become a game for me - one that is much like playing scrabble. Of course, relevancy has to show up on the website content tied to Title Tags, Meta Descriptions and Keyword buckets, but having a domain name that is relevant with highly searched keywords really helps.
For instance, this blog, RelevantWords.com was launched in November 2006 and by January 2007, it had a page rank of 3. Granted the links to and from the site are boosting that number, and add to that the fact that the content is freshened often and the Title Tags are well chosen. The distilled essence of this blog is also the domain name — Relevant Words.
But it was from playing around time and again, looking for just the right words for domain names that actually put me in the mood to start selling domains. So prior to finding the domain name for the store, I searched on Yahoo! and Google and made sure there were paid ads on the pages with the keywords Domain and Web. Combining those searches, I
came up with Domain Web Spinner. I really loved the association of the word Spinner being relative
to the Internet - Spiders Spin Webs, and Spiders crawl text. DELICIOUS ISN'T IT???? Add to that whole series of fun choices to the fact that I have been in love with fiber and all the tactile memory of it for many years. Joy! Oh, I lovewords, and could go on and on about this.
